how does good bottle loop work?

Good bottle loop provides a way for you to order online for pick up or delivery. Unlike some stores that charge a deposit for bottles. We are basically bringing the refill shop to you. The reason we call it good bottle loop is that you are able to bring back the empty bottles for a full refund. That means you buy the bottle once and as long as you order it again on your next order, we’ll let you give us the empty bottle for a full refund.

  • order online and select to pick up your order in store. it will be filled and packed in our bottles

  • select local delivery and we’ll deliver it to your doorstep to the following Towns:

Wednesday: Maplewood, summit, short hills, millburn

thursday: south orange, west orange, Montclair, Bloomfield, glen ridge, verona

What do I need to know about ordering online?

For pick up orders:

Orders must be placed by midnight for pick up the following day. We will text you when your order has been filled/packed. we will accept refunds for containers placed. You can bring us your empty bottles for a refund but we only refund the bottles/jars that you placed on that order. (that’s how you stay in the loop)

For delivery orders:

If you select delivery at check out, we’ll deliver it to your doorstep and pick up your empty bottles. order by midnight for delivery the next day. We will text you when your order is en route and again once it’s been delivered to your doorstep. leave us your empty bottles in a bag with your name on it. WE ONLY refund THE BOTTLES/jars YOU ORDERED. It is not a deposit, it is a refund if you give us an empty bottle to replace the bottle you just bought. IF YOU HAVE AN EMPTY BOTTLE BUT YOU ARE NOT READY TO ORDER THAT PRODUCT YET, JUST SAVE IT FOR THE NEXT TIME YOU ORDER THAT PRODUCT.

Other good bottle loop tips

  1. you must give us back the bottles in a bag with your name on it because we process the refunds once a week and can only refund if we know who it’s from. name or order# is acceptable.

  2. BOTTLES are only refunded if you have an order. We don’t refund for empty bottles unless you placed an order to process against it.

  3. we will only accept our own bottles. with our labels on them. We will not refund any bottles that don’t have our labels. IF YOU PUT A BOTTLE WITHOUT A LABEL IN YOUR RETURN baG, YOU WILL NOT GET REFUNDED FOR IT. We process refunds once a week.

  4. you keep the pumps and sprayers for yourself…. and on your reorder, order a bottle without a pump because you already have one and you can just drop it into the filled bottle you get … how brilliant right???

  5. we refund bottle for bottle and jar for jar, if you order a prefilled product you can get refunded for the container of equal or lesser value, if you order 10 bottles you can return 10 bottles…. if you order 1 bottle you cannot return any more than 1 bottle. BOTTLE FOR BOTTLE ALSO MEANS THAT WE ACCEPT THE SAME BOTTLE EVEN IF IT’S DIFFERENT PRODUCTS.

*we cannot accept any pumps or sprayers back, if we do get a pump or sprayer, we deduct $1 from your refund to pay for the cost of terracycle.

*bottles are only refunded for online orders for delivery or pick up only. We do not refund if you come to the store and refill (cause you can just refill those exact bottles).

HOW DOes good bottle CLEAN AND SANITIZE?

we are lucky to have a commercial-grade kitchen sink and we are washing these bottles according to restaurant food-grade sanitizing guidelines and products. we have a strict standa rd operating procedure.

 

How are our bulk containers recycled?

At good bottle, we have very high standards of recycling. Some of our suppliers take back our used containers to sterilize, refill and send back to us filled with product. This helps us stay zero waste throughout the entire process.

Most of our brands ship us the product in soft plastic “smart bags” that are in a cardboard box. Once the product is emptied into our containers, the plastic bag can be balled up the size of a snowball… then we put it in our Terra Cycle box. For other containers we have to discard, we first offer them to various organizations in the community that can re-use these bulk bottles and buckets. If anything is leftover after that, we use Terra Cycle, an innovative recycling company that has become a global leader in recycling hard-to-recycle waste.

Here at Good Bottle we go to great lengths to produce the least amount of waste.
