French Cous Cous
from $4.48
French Cous Cous in a 32 fl oz jar with a bamboo lid ($7) or 1 lb. in a paper bag (free).
INSTRUCTIONS
1 cup couscous
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp olive or vegetable oil ; Optional
Heat oil in pan on med-low for 5 minutes, add couscous and salt
Stirring constantly, toast couscous until it is golden brown in color (3 min.)
Don't leave it unattended - it'll burn quickly
Pour in the boiling water and immediately cover with lid
Remove from heat, allow to sit for 5 - 10 minutes
Fluff gently with a fork and serve
